Sorry turkey for this trespass,
But it’s time to gobble the gobbler.
We’ll remember you as we pass
You tasty morsels round the table,
With cranberries, stuffing, and all the trimmings,
Retelling the Thanksgiving fable.
We’ll guzzle wine, that drink divine,
Of only the finest label,
Gorge on desserts of the richest kind,
Then be thankful to stand up, if able.
